The Good Fruit Pod is a queer-affirming Christian podcast that attests to God's acceptance of modern day homosexuality through Biblical study and analysis of God's theology.​
OUR CONTENT
The Good Fruit Pod, hosted by best friends Ris (they/she) and Care (she/her), is a podcast that delves into various biblical passages, exploring their historical and cultural contexts, and analysis the character of God to provide queer individuals the knowledge of the true love of Jesus, in hopes that they may know a relationship with Jesus as their authentic self is achievable.
All content is derived from the Holy Bible and/or scholars and analysts who base their work off of the canonical books of the Hebrew and Greek, Old Testament and New Testament texts. While scripture is examined, it is never doubted.
Facts, theories, context, and examples are provided with the greatest level of care that can be offered. With this, old and new facts, evidence, and theological ideas will be used and referred to in the content. The resources used to discern the truth will be accepted with an open mind.
The podcast will evaluate both sides of the coin when discussing homosexuality with the Christian faith in efforts to offer the knowledge an individual may need to discern their specific journey.

The love that God calls all His children to have for one another will be extended to all listeners of the pod, regardless of religious views or opinions on homosexuality within the church.

CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION
The Good Fruit Pod maintains a non-denominational Christian worldview.
FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS
The Good Fruit Pod's non-denominational Christian belief system stands on the following essential truths:
Jesus Christ is the son of God, sent to earth, being fully God and fully man, and was crucified on the cross to serve as an atoning sacrifice for the sins of man ,so that all who believe may receive salvation, have a relationship with God the Father, and live eternally with Him in Heaven after life on earth.
The Bible, while discretion and discovery should be appropriately used in light of human influence, is God's word given to humans to know Him and should be revered as accurate.
God is good. God is love.
THE NAME
It's a double entendre! The name "The Good Fruit Pod" is a play off of a key biblical teaching in Matthew 7:15-20 that our ministry attests to, arguing God's acceptance of modern-day homosexuality based on the good that results from them, and the play off the term "fruity" that is heard in the queer lexicon.
MISSION
The Good Fruit Pod's mission is to share about the true love of Jesus through our evaluations and discussions of scripture and God's theology to help everyone participate in the continuum that is God's greatest command: to love God, to love your neighbor, and to love yourself (Matt. 22:36-40).
VISION
The Good Fruit ministry hopes to achieve two major goals:
1.
To remove the fear many LGBTQIA+ community members experience regarding religion so they can build a relationship with The Lord.
To create peace among the body of Christ by providing insights and perspectives, and biblically derived examples of how God wants the topic of LGBTQIA+ issues to be addressed in the church, regardless of stance.
